How to use GroupCamp Gmail gadget for G Suite users and Google Apps †
This FAQ article explains how to use the GroupCamp Gmail gadget for G Suite users and Google Apps.
IMPORTANT NOTICE: GroupCamp for Gmail add-on replaces GroupCamp Gmail Gadget following Google's decision to shut down Gmail contextual Gadgets on August 1st, 2018.
In the Gmail browser-based interface, you can access GroupCamp's contextual gadget to perform the following actions:
- post a message
- add tasks into a project,
- switch between multiple GroupCamp accounts linked to your GroupCamp ID

In your Gmail inbox, the GroupCamp Gmail gadget is displayed as a button at the bottom of each email
To use the gadget click on either the Post a message button or the New task button.
Click on the Post a message button
In the tab Feeds, select one or more feeds where your post will be shared, add users in cc. The post can also be added in a topic of a discussions of a selected group or be sent to colleagues:
- The Subject link:
By clicking on the link you automatically paste the subject of the current email as the subject of your post.
- The Initial message link
By clicking on the link you will copy the body of the email in the body of your post.
Click on the New task button
Choose one of your projects then choose a task list in that project.
When you have multiple GroupCamp accounts linked to your unique GroupCamp ID, you can select one of your GroupCamp accounts in the top right corner of the gadget.
