How to sort, copy, move or import tasks and task list
This GroupCamp FAQ explains how to sort task lists, to sort tasks in a task list, to move or copy tasks from one list to another (same project or other project) and to import a task list from another project.
This FAQ article applies to the Tasks application.
To move a task to another position in a list, hover on top of the task then click and hold the Sort icon. Move the task to the new position then drop the task in that new position.
On the task you wish to move, click on the More menu (or the right button of your mouse) to display the task contextual menu.
Then click on the Move to.. button.
In the Move to... window ,
- The current project is displayed (you can select another project).
- Select the Destination task list.
Note: You can select and move several tasks from the same task list.
Click on the More button and select the Sort all task lists choice.
The screen below is displayed, you can then drag and drop the list in the new position using the Sort icon.
Use the contextual menu of the task list to access the Copy function (More menu or right-click on the task list).
Select the tasks to copy with your mouse: Ctrl + Click on each task. Then, use the Tasks app More menu.
Select Copy to ...
Select options and Destination task list. Click Ok.
In the Tasks application, click on the Create button, then choose Import - Task list.
The Import - Task list window will open up, select the Project, then select the Task list
