How to customize synced calendars data and use the Location field for a project
This FAQ explains how customize synced calendars data for a project and how to use the Location field in the GroupCamp Scheduling apps to provide addresses for your colleagues Office calendars.
The Location field is useful when your project requires moves and you want to use this field to enter the physical addresses that will be synchronized in the calendars. The click or touch (smartphone, tablet, etc.) on the Location field of the calendars automatically launches maps apps: Google Maps, Apple Maps, etc.
In the Project settings window of a project, Enable Use the Location field.
If all or most of the jobs in your project are located at the same address, enter that address in the Project location field. It will be automatically used for all phases and jobs of the scheduled project. You can modify this address by phase or by job.
If your project requires only a few moves, do not enter the address in the Project location field. You will be able to enter by phase or by job the address to which your colleagues will have to move.
The addresses entered in the Location fields are inherited: Project Location -> Phase Location -> Job Location.
- The content of the Project location field is propagated in the Phase and Job location fields.
- The content of the location field of a phase is propagated in all the Job of the phase.
