How to use your email with GroupCamp

This article explains how you can use your email with GroupCamp to update comment threads, transfer an email with attachments, post a message or add tasks from your email.
Your primary email address is used by GroupCamp to send you email notifications.
You can use additionnal email addresses as long as they have been added as additional email addresses in your Identity information. These email addresses will be recognized when you send emails to your GroupCamp account.

In the Email notifications menu of the @Me > Preferences app., select Receive an email immediatly.
When you receive an email, you can comment or reply to an exisiting comment.
Click on the link Reply or Comment (link mailto:). A new window will open up:
Do not write in the subject line, your text will not be taken into account.
Enter your comment or reply in the body of the email, add attachments, then click on Send.
GroupCamp allows you to post a message with attachments in the Group feed located in the Activity application.
To find out email address of the Activity app, click on the Group feed link.
The popup lets you copy the feed email address and send a vCard file to your colleagues.
Note: Font styles are not taken into account (bold, underline, colors, bullet points ...).
The message will appear in the Group Feed. Attachments will be attached to the post, they will also be located in the folder Shared with the group in the Files app of your project
GroupCamp allows yous to add tasks directly from your email system.
Go in the Tasks app. of a project, click on the Create button and select Add tasks from your email.

Click on the Edit - Destination task list button to set up:

Note: The Updates tab in the Information panel of the task list is updated every time a task is added by email. You can subscribe to the task list if you wish to receive notifications.
If you are a Google G Suite for Business user, you can have a Gmail contextual gadget when your G Suite domain is linked to your GroupCamp account.
The GroupCamp gadget for Gmail allows you to add tasks in the Tasks app. of a GroupCamp project, and post a message in the Group feed located in the Activity app. of a group.
