We are happy to announce that we have released a brand new version of our Milestone application. The objective as always is to improve your productivity and make your daily tasks in your online projects as simple as possible. The graphic view brings greater usability to project leaders who can make the right decisions by having a timeline view when positioning milestones.
New graphic view per weeks and months in every project
You now have more than the list view in online projects: you can choose a more graphic view that allows you to view all project milestone and related task lists on a weekly or monthly timeline view.
The weekly view covers a period of 3 months and the monthly view allows you to see your milestones over a year.

We have published a new customer story on DI-Network and how they have used GroupCamp Project to launch their in-stream ad platform. The pain point was a very common one: you cannot use email to sync project teams located on remote sites and meet your deadlines. GroupCamp Project provided all the necessary tools to get all remote teams on the same page regarding the key milestones of the project.
Create and share Google Docs in your projects or link to Google Docs files of your Google Apps domain.
For our Google Apps users who were eager to use GroupCamp Project with their Google Docs files, we are happy to announce that we have released our first intégration with Google Docs. This release comes alongside the Gmail Gadget release (see previous post)
Creating Google Docs from within GroupCamp Project
For those of you who had been struggling back and forth downloading files from Google Docs to upload them into GroupCamp Project (or vice versa), it is now possible to create a Google Docs from within your online GroupCamp project. You can choose between three types of file: document, spreadsheet or présentation. The file is automatically created in your Google Apps account with access to all users of your Google Apps domain to ease collaboration within your project. Please note that you can always change the sharing setting in Google Docs but bear in mind that you need not all your GroupCamp Project members might need to have access to the file especially in multi-company projects.
By creating the file from within your GroupCamp project you can use all your usual project features on your Google Docs : adding comments, managing versions, and link a file to an assigned task. The file can be edited by clicking on the link. Please note that files that are converted into a Google Docs format have a specific icon in GroupCamp (very much the same icon as in Google Docs)
Linking to existing files in Google Docs
You can also choose to link to an existing Google Docs file. When browsing your Google Docs account, GroupCamp will display all the files to which you have access and the sharing setting will be displayed next to the file. This information will let you determine whether that sharing setting should be changed to allow for all project members to access the file (by clicking on the link).
As you all know, you can now add GroupCamp Project to your Google Apps domain from the Google Apps Marketplace. We are now happy to announce that you can use our first Gmail contextual gadget in the in-browser Gmail interface.
How does it work
We have made released significant new changes in our latest update.
In order to ease the project creation process especially for new GroupCamp users, you will now be directed into a project once the project name is submitted. In the upper right corner of an account, you can access our project settings without leaving the project.
Some of you might have seen our listing of GroupCamp Project in the Google Apps Marketplace. We are still working on our Gmail contextual gadgets and Google Docs integration but you can already add GroupCamp Project to your Google Apps domain. What is the Google Apps Marketplace, what about project management software?
The Google Apps Marketplace allows you to add web-based software from providers such as GroupCamp to your Google Apps domain. Those software are listed based on specific categories such as project management or Customer Relationship Management (CRM). The unique benefit is that the Google Apps features are exposed to third-party software providers via the Google Apps API. We can therefore bring unique capabilities and increased productivity to our clients who are using Google Apps.
How does it work ?
To enjoy the benefits of GroupCamp Project’s integration with Google Apps, an Administrator of your Google Apps domain has to add GroupCamp Project from the Google Apps Marketplace. The installation process is designed to go through a key step whereby the Administrator grants GroupCamp with the ability to access your Google Apps data. Once the application is intalled, all users of your domain can access GroupCamp project from within your Google universal navigation bar as shown below. They are automatically signed into their GroupCamp account.
Use To, Cc or Bcc with your project feed email address to upload your emails and files into GroupCamp projects.
