Merge time spent records - Delete a time categorie
Time categories are used when adding time spent records with the Timesheet or the Timelog apps. You can now move time spent records from a category to another one. This feature allows you to delete an existing time category.
Go in the Admin Panel, then click on the Categories icon.
Important notice: before to move records from a category to another one: 1) Please edit both source and destination categories and uncheck them. This will make these categories unselectable by users during your merge. 2) Make an Excel/CSV export of all records from both categories (Use the Reports function from the Timesheet app).
In the Categories icon, click on the Manage categories button to open the window.
Select the source category by clicking on the Move to .. button.
In the Move records to window, you can know how many records are using this time category,
Then select the destination category,
The window shows you the result of your move before clicking on Ok.
VERY IMPORTANT: this action cannot be reversed.
After this action, the Sales category will have no records. You can delete it.
