Late Milestones and project schedule

The overview application of your project allows you to see all late milestones of your project sorted by date. The schedule in the project overview will allow you to see all upcoming milestones in the project for the coming weeks.

Synchronise project milestones with your Microsoft Outlook Calendar, Apple iCal or Google

The iCalendar standard format is supported by most office calendars. By adding the iCalendar feed for a project in an office calendar project managers are reminded of all key deadlines in their projects.

You can work with shared calendars in the following ways:

  • set up one shared online calendar in which all milestones feed are added
  • use a personal calendar in which you can choose to add only
  • you can have different shared online calendars, for instance if you are a Gmail or Google Apps user, you can define one shared Google Calendar per client.

Managing project milestones in your cross-project dashboard

The cross-project view in GroupCamp Project allows each user to see  all milestones for which that user is the owner in the cross-project schedule (together with tasks assigned to that user).

Milestones and tasks for a user can be synced with their Google Calendar (for Gmail or Google Apps users) automatically or by using an iCalendar feed for Outlook, Apple iCal.

Project planning: Viewing all milestones for all users in all projects

The Milestones app in the cross-project view also allows you to view on the same timeline view all milestones for all users across all projects.

The cross-project view can be used with various filters

  • select the owner of the milestones (or select Everyone, or none)
  • select completed milestones
  • choose list, weekly or monthly views
  • in the timeline view you can choose which project to display and you can sort the list of projects in your timeline.
