How to create a task from your email. How to use the task email dropbox feature
This video from GroupCamp shows how to create a task from your email or how to use the task email dropbox feature.
You can use the Tasks dropbox email address feature to create tasks directly from your email inbox. First start by customizing the email address of your tasks dropbox so that the email address matches the project and is easy to remember. Choose the task list in the project which should be collecting new tasks created from your email. Once this is done, use this address in your email composer by adding it in the Cc or Bcc field. The email subject will become the description of the task and the body of your email will be transformed into a comment associated with the task.
Any attached file is automatically added in the Files application and linked to the task. If the email address to which the message was sent matches a member of the project, that member is automatically assigned to the project. Furthermore, if other email addresses in the Cc field match members of the project, those members will be added as followers on the task. Once the task is created in the target task list, if you have chosen to enable email notifications on the task, all followers will receive notifications on the created task.
