How to use teams and management teams?
This article explains how to use Teams and Management teams in GroupCamp. Teams will allow you to group colleagues in your account. A colleague can belong to one or several teams in a GroupCamp account.
In this article:
Go in the Directory menu and click on the Teams application.
A cog wheel symbol is displayed next to Management teams. Use the Edit button to update an existing team and use the Create button to create a new team.
Note: Please click on the Plans & Quotas icon located in the Admin panel to find out what is the maximum number of teams and colleagues per team you can create in your account.
To create a team, click on the Create button,
Fill up the form containing the team's description, check the Management team checkbox then click OK.
Note: Only authorized users have access to the Management team checkbox. See the Teams' application privileges settings.
In the Admin panel, click on the Teams icon.

All colleagues have the Teams app. in their Directory menu.
Creation, update and deletion privileges for teams (not including Management Team)
By default, these privileges are set for Administrators.
Only authorized users can check or uncheck the Management team checkbox in the team's creation and update pop-up window.
Teams can only be seen and used by colleagues in your account. Guests do not have access to it.
With the post a message feature, you can write to one or several teams (equivalent to the email alias).
With the quick add button, you can select teams (group members management, add followers, etc).
For certain features in the Admin panel, the privilege A team can be selected. Having this option allows you to grant rights on a feature to a specific team. Adding Administrators is optional.

In the Folders of each type of groups of the Admin Panel, you can set the Group managers privilege on features (who can edit group settings, delete task-list, create or delete files, etc).
For each group, you can decide to assign a management team. Colleagues of the team will have automatically the Group managers privilege if they become members of the group.

In the Teams app. of the Directory menu, open the Information panel of the a management team. The groups tab shows used groups, the privilege tab indicate which privileges are using this management team.
Organizations are used to represent the formal mapping of your company. It is based on activity, function, location, or service. A colleague can belong to only one organization. A team, however, can be multifunctional and contain members from different organizations.
