How to set up the Discussions application for projects?
This GroupCamp FAQ presents the available application settings for the Discussions application for projects.
In this article:
- Access the Discussions application's settings
- Use private objects, [P], to hide topics from invited guests
> In the Admin panel, click on the Project folder. Then click on the Discussions icon.
Depending on your usage, you can limit the creation privilege to avoid the proliferation of topics.
The privilege associated with topics are distinct from those associated with posts. You can limit the privilege to Group managers. Doing so will avoid excessive topics creations by project members.
Decide which users can :
- Post a new message or discussion,
- Share a post in the topic of the Discussions application.
Delete topics that are not empty
Posts shared only in the Discussions app. are removed.
Sort and archive topics. Pin posts in a topic.
Decide which users can animate your discussions.
When private objects are enabled in your project, you can set topics as being private. Discussions added to this topic will not be visible to invited guests who are not authorized to see private objects.
