How to schedule the work for critical resources
This FAQ explains how critical resources work in GroupCamp Scheduling apps.
A resource is critical when it is needed to complete a job or task.
For example, when a colleague does not work on Wednesday (part-time or one-time absence) and this colleague is checkded as being a critical resource, the job is drawn by taking into account his/her time off.
Example for a full-time job of 3 days with critical resource checked
Two resources are allocated to the job.
The drawing of the job takes into account the absence of the critical resource.
For the same job when the resource is not checked as critical
The drawing of the job does not take into account the absence of the resource and a Wrok overload is indicated on the resource.
You can have several critical resources in a job. The Scheduling software automatically calculates the job drawing based on the presence of critical resources that are checked.
A resource can be a GroupCamp user or a machine.
The drawing of the job takes into account the presence of critical resources (no absence). It does not make the decision based on existing workloads.
