Why do I need a conversion rate? Conversion between days and hours for time spent
This GroupCamp FAQ explains how the conversion between days and hours work for duration.
You can record a duration in hours or days, when entering a time spent, an estimated time on a task or a project budget.
Time unit is pre-defined for an account.
Wehn recording a duration, the Day/hours conversion rate is used to record your entry in the other time unit. (Ie, you account Time unit is Hours and you have recorded 1 day, in that case, 8 hours are also recorded if your conversion rate is 1 day = 8 hours. This operation is made at the time of recording). If you decide to change your Time unit, converted duration are used.
