Hi and welcome!
We are happy to introduce two new features for items you follow.
- Follow new items feature
- Display the Inbox icon on items you follow
You can now automatically follow new created items in a project, an intranet or extranet group.
We have added permalinks to GroupCamp items that have an Information panel..
These links can be inserted:
- into your files, your Google docs, your emails, your IMs, your bookmarks, etc.
- into comments, posts, Wiki pages, etc. of your GroupCamp.
The permalink button is found in the item's Information panel.
Open the Information panel by clicking the element or the (i) button. The window that opens allows you to copy the permalink.
As you already know, our IT team is always on the lookout for new ways to improve your user experience.
This month, our engineers greatly improved the message counter in your GroupCamp Inbox. We wanted to give you a quick recap so that you can fully understand how it works !
From now on, the GroupCamp Inbox counter:
Here are the new improvements we wanted to share with you before Christmas: Thumbnails next to your files are now displayed in emails. We added a Members selector field in the Post a discussion window, we also made new improvements on the Tasks application.
Added thumbnails next to files in your email notifications
In this blogpost, we will outline improvements and bug fixes we worked on between October and November 2015.
Just to name a few: The Inbox application now displays 2 lines instead of just 1, we modified the cursor position when opening the Information panel of an item, we also improved the way you can link milestones to task lists.
Message display in the Inbox application
For every message you receive in your GroupCamp inbox, you can now preview the first two lines instead of just one. This will facilitate your navigation when browsing through your Inbox.
GroupCamp has recently announced the task dropbox feature which allows you to add a task in an online project simply by forwarding or copying the dropbox email address to your email. The task is automatically added to the Tasks application, it is assigned to the person in the To: field if that person is a member of your project and any attached files are automatically added to the Files application in your project.
This blog post will focus on how to make the most of the task dropbox feature when you are on the go and only have your email app on your smartphone.
Saving the task dropbox address in the Contacts app of your iPhone or Android Smartphone
The first step when using the Tasks dropbox is to share that dropbox email address with all project members and make sure that it is saved in your contacts including the address book on your iPhone or Android smartphone. The screenshot below shows how you can share the dropbox address with all team members.
As you may recall we now support rich formatting in our commenting system, either online or when using rich text formatting when replying to email notifications. We have also released the new task dropbox address to allow you to create tasks and have the attached files in your email taken into account in your online projects.
