How can I increase the Storage available in an account?
If you have reached the upper limit for storage within an account you need to upgrade by going to the account tab in the Admin section. If you are already in plan MAX, you need to create a new account.
You can also use the grouped accounts feature to help you increase storage by creating multiple accounts.
In GroupCamp Project what does "unlimited users" and "unlimited clients" mean?
Because of the nature of online project management, GroupCamp Project plans are designed to help you bring people on board your projects without having to upgrade. You can invite as many users and as many clients or partners to collaborate in a project.
The GroupCamp Project offering is designed to help you achieve the following:
- Collaborate easily with as many client companies as you need with as many users as you want.
- Invite non web experts to use a tool that is not designed for expert project managers exclusively.
What is an archived project? Is it counted in the plan quota?
An archived project is a project which can no longer be accessed by members of the project. It will no longer appear in the list of projects but will still be listed for account administrators. To view the content of an archived project, administrators first need to activate the project.
A few things to note about archived projects:
- The amount of archived projects is not counted in the total quota of available projects in a given plan.
- You cannot archive a project which is managed by an outside company. You need to change the name of the Company in charge. Please refer to Company Delegation for more information.
- The storage capacity used up by archived projects is counted in the overall Storage quota of an account.
In the different Project plans, what does the « Per project Settings » feature mean ? Why is it active only in plans BEST and MAX ?
In plans Free, Start and Plus, you can have internal projects or similat client projects. Per projects settings allow you to do the following:
- Administrators are then the managers of those projects (Add and remove members, add or remove client companies from a project)
- The settings for your applications are the same for each project. you can define a Manager role for members of a single project (as compared to the Administrator role which is for all projects)
We understand that as the number of projects increase significantly within an account, more administration levels and more delegation are required. With a view to keeping the first two plans as simple as possible, only administrators are allowed to have higher level of management. For plans BEST and MAX, management features can be partially or totally delegated to members of a project, with the Manager role.
-
You can assign the manager role to one or more project members. This person is then fully empowered to add members or client companies.
-
Managers can for each and every project change the application settings by managing authorisations differently for each project.
For example
- In the Tasks application, enable or disable the use of attached files or the use of task types.
- In the Files application, enable or disable the Dropbox feature, or the files download history.
Example of assigned rights
- In the Tasks application, who can create or delete task lists ?
- In the Files application who can upload or delete Files ?
We understand that as the number of projects increase significantly within an account, more administration levels and more delegation are required. With a view to keeping the first two plans as simple as possible, only administrators are allowed to have higher level of management. For plans BEST and MAX, management features can be partially or totally delegated to members of a project, with the Manager role.
Use case example: You want to allow your IT group to be autonomous in managing a project of their own, there are two ways to achieve that:
-
You define one user of the IT group as an administrator. This person is then fully empowered to create projects, companies or add members.
The trouble with this scenario is that this person can access all the projects in the account. Please note that as an administrator this user can see the content of a project only if he or she is a member of that project. If the user is a member of a project, his or her name will appear on the right of the project overview page.
-
You create the required projects for the IT group and create manager roles for some members of the project.
In this scenario there is one benefit for you which is that you do not have to be a member of the project and you can delegate the necessary permissions to Managers. You still need to create the projects. This has the added benefit of allowing you to control your total number of active projects within the account.
When the « Per project settings » is activated, you can as an administrator choose between the following:
-
Assign Manager roles to one or more members of a project. (see also Project Settings)
-
Once the Manager is defined you can choose which specific rights to assign to him or her:
- Can they add or remove companies from the project or can they create new companies?
- Can they add or remove users from the project. Or can they create new users?
- Can they customize application features for the project?
-
-
For each project an administrator or a manager (if they have the necessary permissions) can fine tune features and customize user rights for a project
-
For example: you can decide who can add or edit folders in Files
- Managers only
- All members of your company present in the project
- All members
-
Use case: If, for a given project, you do not want members to use due dates in your project, you can choose to disable this feature for that particular project
-
Is GroupCamp Project integrated in any way with my email (Email integration)?
Yes.
You can use GroupCamp Project directly from your email without having to sign into your online account. You can receive project notifications for files uploads, task assignments, new comments and more.
You can also send email to a specific project using an email dropbox address. See Files apps.
What are the main pages and sections of Project? How does one browse between them?

The key pages of project can be accessed using elements of the top menu bar. From left to right, use the following icons to access:
-
The cross-project view (formerly personal user page) -
The different projects of which you are a member. -
The Admin section (for administrators only)
Can I have different settings for different projects? How do I customize settings for each project?
With plans FREE, START and PLUS, all your projects have the same settings for user rights and application features. Only plans BEST and MAX allow you to have different settings for each project.
To change the settings for a project go to the Project tab in the Admin section. To do so, click on the settings link next to the project you want to edit.
How can I choose my own colors when using GroupCamp Project? Can I customize a project for a client?

Please note that you can also add announcements and company logos to the Overview of a Project. This can be done by either the Manager of a project or an Administrator.
Can I define multiple administrators for an account (Multiple Administrator)?
Yes all Projects plans have the multiple Administrator option, allowing the owner to select multiple users to administer the account. In the Admin section you can view all the activities of he Account administrators under the Journal tab.
