How do I use Milestones?

The Milestones application allows you to define the key steps of a project. For instance an example of milestone in a customer project is: ‘Final Presentation Meeting’. This milestone has a set date and can be linked to multiple task lists and topics (in Discussions). If the key dates of your project are delayed you only need to update the set date of your milestones and all the tasks and topics where this milestone is used will be updated.

Can I have private milestones? How do I use them?

Yes. You can use private milestones, for instance, to share key deadlines of a project only with users of your company and not those of the customer.

For example, you can have a public Milestone named « Presentation to Customer » and two private milestone ‘Internal preparation Meeting’ and ‘Final Internal review’.
